Library based resources for individuals with visual impairments or physical
limitations. Speaker: Christine Tuttle, Outreach Librarian
Kare Bears is pleased to present a program for those with
reading disabilities. The Arizona State Braille and Talking Book Library have
audio books recorded for individuals with visual impairments or physical
limitations. The collection of talking books, magazines and equipment is loaned
to anyone who cannot hold, handle or read conventional printed matter due to
vision loss or physical disability.
Christine Tuttle
worked six years as a Library Assistant at Phoenix Public Library servicing
reference, the public computer training program, and Special Needs Department.
In 2006 she received her Master of Library Science from the University of Arizona SIRLS
program. Christine has been promoted as Special Services Supervisor, which
includes the library's studio, duplication services, the volunteer
coordinator's office and outreach.
