KARE BEARS VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION

It is important that the community of PebbleCreek recognizes the numerous individuals who have chosen to "give back" through volunteering.  This page is dedicated to residents who have volunteered on committees or in specific Kare Bears sponsored events during the current year. These volunteers are the heart and soul of the organization and Kare Bears literally could not exist without the hard work and dedication of the volunteers listed here.

We encourage others within the community to reach down and embrace the moral values of volunteering for the betterment of others.

All of our volunteers are extremely important to us at Kare Bears.  If someone has been accidentally overlooked and omitted from this page, please know that it is totally unintentional.  Please contact any Board member or use the web site "Contact Kare Bears" form to bring this oversight to our attention.

KARE BEARS SPRING FLING 2010

Kare Bears honored all volunteers at the annual Spring Fling held on Thursday, April 1st.

Tables were decorated with lovely tulips, a wonderful breakfast was served, a  Olympic Champion poem presented and fun was had by all.  Coordinators, Volunteer Drivers, Share Bears Volunteers, Office Volunteers and Special Volunteers were on hand to enjoy the festivities.

Special ten years recognition was given to the following volunteers:

Sandy Donovan for designing the Coordinator gifts given to our ill neighbors or caregivers.  Sandy has also been highly involved with decorations, programs, posters, invitation and bears for the Annual Fall Luncheon.

Dr. Fred Scott, MD has been Kare Bears Medical Director for our (AED) Automated Defibrillator Program.  This important program could one day save a life of one of our residents.

Dick Stoner has been with Share Bears from the time it began in 1996.  He transports residents to bingo when needed, and has called bingo for many years.

Patti Wegehaupt has been a Past President, Board Member, CAT, Coordinator, and Office Volunteer.  She began volunteering when the Medical Library was located at the Eagles Nest Clubhouse.

Kare Bears extends a huge thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers.  Without them, Kare Bears would not be a reality in PebbleCreek.
